No one can do this Work without understanding something about it. What is the good of doing anything without understanding ? If you try to work without any understanding of the Work you can get no result. Only when the Work becomes emotional can you begin to understand it.

The knowledge of it in the Intellectual Center and the dawning emotional need for it and the increasing valuation of it in the Emotional Center, together with the growing perception of its truth, unite to give the beginning of the understanding of it. The Work is then no longer a matter of mere memory or of words. It is no longer merely knowledge. It becomes a living experience affecting your Being and entering into your Will. Thus Knowledge and Being unite to form Understanding.
